Danny’s annual Yosemite work retreat was the weekend of September 30th. I am proud to say that we actually got off our butts and went for a decent hike this time!
On the drive in, we stopped at Tenaya Lake. The water was crystal clear and the shades of blue that reflected off the mountains and sky are impossible to describe. Danny walked into the water to snap some shots while I sat on the rocks and had a moment to myself.
Next, we drove a little ways down the road and checked out Olmsted Point. It was pretty crowded, however, once we hiked down the steps a bit, we soon had this amazing view all to ourselves! If there’s one tip I have for you, it’s hike down the paths at the touristy points because you will soon find yourself in seclusion for minimal effort.
The next morning, we decided to hike Sentinel Dome & Taft Point and it did not disappoint. In all, it took us about 3 hours, but that’s partly because we live at sea level and the elevation of Yosemite forces me to slow down quite a bit!
And what Yosemite trip would be complete without a stop at tunnel view.
